The Croydon Foodbank team was delighted to have been chosen to receive a £4,000 donation from the TUUT Charitable Trust in January 2015. After much press speculation, Lloyds Banking Group finally announced that it has agreed to sell SWIP to Aberdeen Asset Management.  The deal is expected to conclude by the end of the first quarter of 2014, subject to regulatory approval. Sources at SWIP confirm that having conducted a strategic review of investment management activities, the Group  has concluded that another owner would be better able to develop and commercialise further the strong capabilities that exist within SWIP. The sale is expected to result in a stronger asset management business for SWIP’s clients, including TU Fund Mangers Ltd, combining Aberdeen and SWIP’s strengths across fixed income, real estate, active and quantitative equities,

At Prospect the Union’s Conference in Glasgow this year, delegates were encouraged to visit the TU Fund Managers stand during the week and make a donation in support of the local Glasgow South West Food Bank part of the Trussell Trust. TU Fund Managers had already pledged £4,000 via its charity, the TUUT Charitable Trust and so, when the Reverend David Barr attended Conference on the final day, a total of over £4,500 was presented to him on behalf of the Food Bank.
