A home visit from Hospice staff
Covid 19 meant the suspension of routine respite visits (though emergency admissions, symptom control/medical procedures and end-of-life care continued). Many families found it incredibly difficult to cope as their normal care packages fell away. For the first time it became necessary to take care out into the community. Families appreciated this move, which now necessitates a new co-ordinator to ensure this outreach work is safe, blends with in-hospice provision and runs smoothly for staff and families.
The TUUT Charitable Trust £10,000 Donation has helped the Hospice reach their £75,000 target.
