The charity Education and Employers helps state school teachers develop approaches that raise student aspirations and attainment. Its Primary Futures programme has been developed in partnership with the National Association of Head Teachers who supported this application for funding. Research has shown that the patterns of jobs chosen by seven-year-olds mirror those selected by 17-year olds and that gender stereotyping starts at a young age. Primary Futures uses volunteer role models who children can identify with to share their work life with the students in real time and virtually.
