The TUUT Charitable Trust were pleased to support the work of the Leeds Knottingley Foodbank in July with a donation of £1,000.
This donation was one of five foodbanks signposted to us for help by the Yorkshire Region of the GMB.
Alongside the standard food parcel, foodbanks try to provide some essential non-food items for adults and children in crisis.
Cash donations give much needed flexibility enabling them to purchase items not regularly donated such as toiletries & laundry powder or fill in shortages of regular items e.g. UHT milk.
Knottingley saw a significant increase in their petrol expense as their delivery service increased considerably during lockdown.
